The way she teaches is so perfect for the AOA class - she maintains the integrity of the yoga poses while offering adaptations for those of us with a few years of use on our bodies. I never feel embarrassed for having to adapt or leave off a pose while at the same time, I feel challenged to do my best, to try new things. I think that is because Karen creates a class that is full of acceptance and non-competition. I had not exercised or moved much in years before starting Karen’s class and had been afraid to start.
